LAHORE MIRROR — The caretaker government’s crackdown on electricity pilferers has been continuing as the Power Division of the Ministry of Power has claimed that it recovered one billion units of electricity in just seven days and arrested 490 electricity thieves.
Secretary Power Division Rashid Langriyal said in an X post that the crackdown against electricity thieves is continuing successfully on the instructions of the Prime Minister and that one billion units of electricity have been recovered in seven days.
He said that from September 7 to September 14, as many 4,241 cases have been registered against electricity pilferers, 490 electricity thieves have been arrested in seven days, and recovery of Rs.95 million has been made.
