Imaan Mazari, a human rights lawyer, who had been detained the day before in a fresh case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), has been placed in the custody of Islamabad police for a three-day physical remand.
The request for Mazari’s physical remand was granted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Abual Hasnat, following a plea from prosecutor Raja Naveed.
Subsequently, the police took Mazari into their custody and departed from the premises of the judicial complex.
This ruling came after both the prosecutor and Mazari’s legal representatives concluded their presentations in court.
