LAHORE– Pakistan Furniture Council(PFC) is all set to participate in Dubai expo 2020 commencing from Oct 1 to display world class hand crafted vast range of furniture to attract buyers and investors besides exploring foreign markets.
Talking to a delegation of furniture exporters led by Chaudhary Muhammad Ashfaq Kamboh Kasuri Chief Executive Officer PFC Mian Kashif Ashfaq here on Sunday said UAE furniture market is expected to reach around AED 11000 million in terms of revenue by next year.
He said although PFC will face substantial competition not only from unorganised sector but also from organised furniture markets however PFC try to capture some of its share by showing top class widest collection of luxury brands of Pak hand made furniture suitable to every clients personality.
Mian Kashif said rise in number of online market players catering to the demand for wood products and accessories is also expected to have an impact on furniture markets.He said expo will also provide opportunities to young designers and architects to study the new trends of market in furniture industry.
He said PFC firmly believed in Pakistan’s economic potential and investment opportunities. PFC will continue to work towards a sustained economic and social uplift of the country. He said he confident enough that Dubai expo will attract investors to come and explore the untapped business and tourism potentials of Pakistan.
Mian Kashif said that Pakistan pavilion has been designed and curated by a team of leading architects,designers,visual artists and researchers which portrayed the hidden treasures of Pakistan through an immersive multi-sensory experience to explore the country’s cultural diversity,craftsmanship economic potential and the dynamism of its people.— PRESS RELEASE
