LAHORE– Zarak Khan, the President Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has thanked Chinese government for helping Pakistan to cope with the coronavirus crisis and also appreciated the services of Pakistan army and doctors to fight against spread of the coronavirus in the country.
Presiding over a meeting through video conference with the Executive Committee Members of PCJCCI, he said that, Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry salute the untiring and persistent efforts of Pakistan’s army and doctors who are working eagerly at the frontline to save the lives at this hour of crisis. He was accompanied by Mr. Moazzam Ghurki, Senior Vice President and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI on this occasion.
President PCJCCI highly appreciated the efforts of government for setting up quarantine centers and transforming Lahore expo center in 1000 bedded field hospital in 9 days only.
He stressed the need of carrying out joint efforts on the national level to fight the pandemic by saying that I think, the key to fight against any crisis is the “Unity”this is the time to get united for saving lives and handling this pandemic by helping each other. He said the faster we can find the cases, isolate the cases, the more successful we are going to be in eradicating COVID-19.
He also apprised the services and emergency assistance which Army has provided to the Civil administration. He also thankedChinese government and the nation for helping Pakistan by sending medical aid, ventilators and Chinese doctors.
Mr. Moazzam Ghurki, Senior Vice President and Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI also paid tribute to the doctors of Pakistan for fighting against fatal Coronavirus bravely and intelligently. Mr. Ghurki informed that soon PCJCCI will be receiving 20,000 disposable medical face masks from Qingdao Investment Promotion Centre, China as PCJCCI rushed to the aid of China when they were facing this epidemic. Mr. Moazam Ghurki said.
Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI, speaking on this occasion, hoped that we would succeed in fighting with this outrageous coronavirus with efforts of our army and doctors.
He appealed the people of Pakistan to follow the instructions given by the government; wearing masks, social distancing, using sanitizers, washing hands in this regard.— PRESS RELEASE
