LAHORE MIRROR — Pakistan crushed Sri Lanka by 82 runs in the second T20 International on Sunday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
After winning the toss and opting to field, Sri Lanka saw Pakistan post an imposing 215 for three in their allotted 20 overs.
Muaz Sadaqat led the charge with a blistering 96 off 51 balls, including six fours and seven sixes, while captain Sahibzada Farhan struck 73 off 44 deliveries, hitting four fours and five sixes.
Fakhar Zaman contributed 22 runs, while Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten on 19. Ishan Malinga, Maheesh Theekshana and Dasun Shanaka took one wicket each for Sri Lanka.
Chasing a target of 216, Sri Lanka managed 133 for seven in their 20 overs, falling well short of the required total.
Maheesh Theekshana top-scored with 32, while Chamindu Wickramasinghe made 29, Kamindu Mendis scored 23 and Sanath Jayasuriya added 22.
For Pakistan, Imran Randhawa claimed three wickets, while Salman Mirza took two. Saim Ayub and Abrar Ahmed picked up one wicket apiece.
The victory gave Pakistan a decisive 2-0 lead in the three-match series ahead of the final T20 International.
