New Delhi: India’s reaction to the strategic mutual defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has come to light.
Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, in a statement issued on social media platform X, said that the Indian government was already aware of this development and is closely examining the reports of the agreement being signed.
He claimed that the government will take all possible measures to protect its national security and interests, and is also analyzing the possible impacts of this agreement on regional and global stability.
It should be noted that yesterday in Riyadh, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman signed the “Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement” (SMDA).
According to the clauses of the agreement, if there is an external armed attack on either country, it will be considered an attack on both countries. This agreement reflects the resolve to further strengthen the deep strategic relations and security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
