LAHORE– Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Javed Iqbal visited the Regional Bureau Lahore on Thursday to review its overall performance.
He was briefed, in detail, by Director General (DG) NAB Lahore Shahzad Saleem over cases pertaining to Mega Corruption Scams and White Color Crime being under investigation in the Regional Bureau.
Justice Javed Iqbal stated that eradication of corruption from our beloved country, particularly, by bringing all mega corruption scams to their logical end is the top most priority of NAB and for this cause all available resources are being utilized to achieve this goal.
In approbation of the assiduous performance of NAB Lahore, Justice Javed said that NAB is a National Institution and the Officers and officials of this organization are working tirelessly to recover the looted money from corrupt elements and to submit the same into National kitty, whereas, a special focus has been given to the Scams related with Housing Sector.
Chairman NAB further maintained that during the last 20 Months, NAB has directly and indirectly recovered Rs 71Billion from corrupt elements and the same has either been submitted into Government exchequer or returned to affectees concerned.
He also termed this effort as a record achievement which has been displayed by NAB. He admired the overall performance of NAB Lahore specifically regarding handling of Mega Corruption Cases and the successful recovery of Billions of rupees in Housing Sector Scams.
