LCWU Jhang Campus Shifted To Newly Constructed Building

LCWU Jhang Campus was established in 2005 in a school building. The main objective of this campus was to provide an opportunity of Higher Education to female gender of far-flung areas of Punjab at their doorstep. Later on, 25 acres of land on Jhang-Chiniot road was provided by Govt. of Punjab in 2007 for establishing LCWU Jhang Campus.
The funds for this purpose were provided by Higher Education Commission, Islamabad under the project “Essential Infrastructure for LCWU Lahore, Jhang Campus” at an approved cost of Rs.793.197 million on April 13, 2015.
Recently an Academic & Administration Block have been completed under the same project and  Campus has been shifted from old school building to newly constructed Campus. Department of Computer science, Economics, Education, English Literature, Fine Arts, Islamic studies, Management Sciences, Mass Communication, Mathematics and Urdu are  now housed in  New Academic Block. All the administration offices have also been shifted to the new admin block.
The buildings comprising of Student Hostel, Student Service Centre, Library, Bachelor Faculty Hostel and Faculty & Staff Residences under the same project are  also near to completion in the same Campus. Ten BS and MS programs in subjects of Islamic Studies, Statistics, Mass Communication, Management Sciences, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Craft & Industrial Design, Education and English will be taught at the new campus.
The female population of Jhang, Chiniot, Shorkot, Ahmed Pur Sayyal, Toba Tek Singh, Gojra and their surrounding areas will benefit from the campus. A shuttle service will also be started in future to provide pick and drop service to the students of these areas. The establishment of new campus will not only bring revolution in lives of women of these areas through higher education but will also help to uplift their Social and Economic status.–PRESS RELEASE
