Investors from Pakistan establish 3,395 new companies in Dubai

LAHORE MIRROR — Dubai has witnessed a significant surge in foreign investors registering companies during the first half of 2023, with Pakistan ranking third in this trend with 3,395 new companies, according to a report from international media.

This remarkable increase of 59% in new company registrations, as compared to the first half of 2022, has elevated the total number of Pakistani companies in Dubai to 40,315.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has disclosed that Indian investors have taken the lead in terms of nationalities contributing to the growth of new companies within the chamber during the first half of 2023.

A total of 6,717 new Indian-owned companies have become members, showcasing a substantial year-over-year growth of 39% compared to H1 2022, which had 4,845 new Indian-owned companies. In total, Indian companies have accounted for 22.3% of the 30,146 new companies that have joined the chamber in H1 2023.

The cumulative number of Indian companies registered in Dubai by the end of June 2023 has reached an impressive 90,118, underscoring the vital role played by Indian enterprises in bolstering Dubai’s sustainable economic growth.

The United Arab Emirates secured the second spot in terms of new companies joining the chamber during the first half of the year, with 4,445 new companies successfully registering.
