LAHORE MIRROR — There is approximately Rs956 billion worth tax is annually evaded in Pakistan.
According to a report of an international research organisation, tax evaders include real estate, tea, cigarettes, tires, oil and pharma sectors.
Around Rs500 billion worth tax is evaded in real estate alone, while Rs240 billion worth tax is evaded in the cigarette industry.
Similarly, Rs45 billion worth tax is evaded in tea industry, Rs65 billion in pharmaceutical sector, and Rs106 billion wortf tax in tires and oil sectors are being evaded on annual basis.
