First Pre-Hajj Flight Carrying 327 Pilgrims Take Off from Lahore Airport
LAHORE MIRROR (Monitoring Desk) — PIA Pre-Hajj operation is continuing successfully with on time departures from airports in Pakistan. PIA has so far carried more than 9,000 intending pilgrims to Saudia Arabia through 33 flights.
The first Pre- Hajj flight PK 743 carrying 327 intending pilgrims took off from Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday.
A simple ceremony was held at the airport, the intending pilgrims were seen off by PIA Chief Operating Officer Amanullah Qureshi, GM Passenger Handling Services, Zilqarnain Mehdi , Zaheer Ud Din District Manager PIA, Ali Abbas Shah Station Manager and officials of PIA and CAA.
Chief Operating Officer PIA said that the airline is providing best services to the intending pilgrims and Minister for Aviation, Khawaja Saad Rafique has instructed PIA to continue with maximum support and assistance to intending pilgrims.
He said that PIA will transport more than 11,000 intending pilgrims from Lahore through 41Special Hajj and schedule flights. PIA Hajj teams have been deputed at airports in Pakistan and Saudia Arabia for the convenience of the pilgrims.
PIA pre Hajj operation will conclude on 22 June whereas the Post Hajj Operation of bringing back hujjaj to Pakistan will commence from 2 July and conclude on 2 August.
