Dr. Anil Qureshi Prevented Media Team of TV Channel 24 From Covering Expo Center

KARACHI– Karachi Press Club President Fazil Jamili, Secretary Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti, and other officials at the Expo Center, Dr. Anil Qureshi, and his guards prevented the media team of TV Channel 24 from covering the Expo Center and were detained.

In a statement issued by the Karachi Press Club on Sunday, the officials of the Press Club said that when the media team of TV Channel 24 arrived at the Expo Center to cover the vaccination center, they were approached by Dr. Anil Qureshi and his family. The guards snatched the camera, locked him in a room, threatened him, and snatched his mobile phone.

He said such bullying with media representatives was intolerable and the Sindh government had traditionally condemned it to prevent such incidents. He demanded the Sindh government to conduct an inquiry into the incident and take legal action against Dr. Anil involved in the incident and arrest the perpetrators immediately.
