LAHORE– DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on Friday checked security duty of Baba Saida Hussain’s three-day procession at Shahdra.
The SP, the DSP and concerned officers briefed the DIG about the security arrangements in that area.
He visited various points, met police officials deputed on duty, asked about their welfare and passed instructions for further improvement of security.
DIG Sohail phones Lahore parliamentarians
As per the directions of the Chief Minister Punjab and IGP, the city police chief phoned all elected parliamentarians of Lahore district, and exchanged personal mobile number with them for any police assistance and legal help.
On the invitation of the DIG, majority of parliamentarians will soon be coming to his office for having a cup of tea.
During telephonic conversation, it was assured that in future mutual contacts would be further strengthened for smooth running of police related functions .
