DIG Faisal Rana Assumes Charge of CPO Rawalpindi, Issues Directive About FIR

RAWALPINDI– City Police Officer Rawalpindi DIG Captain (retired) Muhammad Faisal Rana assumed the charge of his office on Thursday.

Upon his arrival at the City Police Office, a smartly-turned police contingent presented salutation to the new commander.

.After assuming the command of Rawalpindi district, CPO Faisal Rana issued his first executive order to the station house officers (SHOs) to go for speedy and free registration of First Information Report (FIR).

He warned that any SHO failing to do so would be facing strict disciplinary action. The DIG made is clear that he would not bear allegation by any complainant that the duty officer had committed any mitigation in applying section of law in the FIR.

The officer also took briefing from his subordinate staff about security arrangements for Masajids and Imam Barghas during the holy month of Ramadan.— LAHORE MIRROR REPORT
