Central Selection Board Approves Promotion of 10 SSPs As DIGs
Two DIGs also got promoted to the rank of Additional Inspector General of Police
LAHORE MIRROR REPORT– The Central Selection Board of the federal government Wednesday gave approval to the promotion of 10 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) as Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) and two DIGs as Additional Inspectors General (AIGs).
Sources in the Establishment Division Islamabad said the CSB approved names of DIGs Imran Yaqoob Minhas and Muzaffar Ali Sheikh for the promotion to the rank of Additional IG (BS-21).
The board also approved the names of SSPs Syed Ali Mohsin, Captain (retired) Muhammad Sohail Chouhdry, Nasir Mukhtar Rajpoot, Muhammad Azhar Akram, Masood Kolchi, Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, Humayun Masood Sindhu, Qamar uz Zaman, Syed Fida Hussain Shah and Inam ur Rehman Malik for the promotion to the rank of DIG (BS-20).
The notification of the regular promotions will be issued after few weeks, sources added. Majority of SSPs whom names were approved for the promotion belong to 28th Common of Civil Service of Pakistan.
SSP Muhammad Sohail Chouhdry, who is currently posted in the Counter Terrorism Department of Punjab police, has served Sargodha as District Police Officer and Lahore as Chief Traffic Officer and additional SP.
SSP Syed Alo Mohsin is serving Gujrat as District Police Officer, Muhammad Azhar Akram is City Police Officer Faisalabad while Inam ur Rehman Malik is discharging his duties as DIG Investigation Lahore.— LAHORE MIRROR
