LAHORE MIRROR – In a tragic incident that took place in Muzaffargarh’s Thermal Colony, a devastating incident unfolded as a brother mercilessly took the lives of his three younger sisters by slitting their throats.

According to The News reports, Syed Hasnain Haider, District Police Officer (DPO) of Muzaffargarh, shared that the police were alerted about the disappearance of the three girls on Monday. Following the alert, a search operation was immediately launched to locate them.

“After receiving information from the family of the girls, the police promptly initiated a search and discovered three bodies in an abandoned house near the victims’ residence,” explained DPO Hasnain Haider.

The victims have been identified as Abia, aged seven, Zahrah, aged eight, and Areesha, aged eleven.

According to the complaint filed with the police before the discovery of the bodies, the brother of the victims stated that his two sisters, Zahrah and Abia, had gone out to play at a nearby playground around 5 pm on Monday but failed to return.

“Later, my other sister Areesha went out to look for the missing sisters, but she also did not come back,” he informed the police.

In his plea, he had urged the authorities to conduct an extensive search for his sisters, as his own attempts to locate them had been unsuccessful.

Subsequently, a first information report (FIR) was registered at the City police station by Sub-Inspector (SI) Sajjad Ahmed under Section 302 (intentional murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code, formally documenting the tragic murders.

During the course of the investigation, the police noticed a bruise on the hand of the brother, raising suspicions. Upon intense questioning, he confessed to the heinous crime, admitting that he had taken his sisters to a nearby dwelling and slit their throats, revealed DPO Hasnain Haider.
