LAHORE – On the instructions of the Lahore division’s Commissioner, an awareness campaign and preventive measures against the coronavirus are being taken at the General Bus Stand Badami Bagh Lahore.
In this regard, coronavirus awareness ads are being played in all buses having screens.
The campaign is being supervised by Administrator General Bus Stand Badami Bagh Ahmad Raza Butt.
Similarly, pamphlets with standard operating procedures (SOPs) are also being distributed among transporters and passengers to raise awareness regarding precautionary measures against the virus.
The circulars have also been posted at all ticket points and inside buses.
All the areas are also being visited regularly and in case of absence of the Lahore Waste Management Company’s (LWMC) staff or cleanliness issues, the matter is being efficiently reported to the company officials.
Four Handwash Camps have also been established at GBS Badami Bagh to facilitate handwashing to avoid transmission of the coronavirus.
Contractors have also been strictly directed to ensure cleanliness and hand wash at toilets.
The Administrator held a meeting with the transporters to take them into confidence to follow SOPs. They were also convinced to ensure the availability of sanitisers in every bus.
Transporters were also directed to immediately report any passenger if he/she is found with symptoms of the coronavirus.—LAHORE MIRROR
