LAHORE : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology in Lahore today. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, she announced that heart transplant facility will also be provided to patients in the Institute from tomorrow. She said treatment facilities for heart patients in this Institute will be free of cost and state of the art. Chief Minister said that a dedicated fund will also be established for heart transplant. She said more than 14,500 children have received free cardiac procedures and surgeries under the Children Heart Surgery Program.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has confirmed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a medical examination and subsequently returned to Adiala Jail.
