ISLAMABAD (Lahore Mirror) – Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday telephoned PM-in-waiting Imran Khan and felicitated him on landslide victory in general elections 2018, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Naeemul Haque.

Haque stated Ghani also invited PTI supremo Imran Khan to visit Kabul.

Terming relations between two countries historic, Ghani invited Khan to visit to Kabul to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Khan accepted the invitation and told Ghani that he would visit Afghanistan after officially assuming power.

The Afghan president also congratulated Khan while tweeting on twitter. Earlier, Imran Khan in his televised address to nation, highlighted his foreign policy towards Afghanistan, saying he wished peaceful Afghanistan and open borders like between Pakistan and Afghanistan like European Union (EU).
