Actor Tom Cruise Announces Two New Back-To-Back ‘Mission Impossible’ Movies
LAHORE MIRROR (Monitoring Desk)– Hollywood legend Tom Cruise announced on Tuesday that he will return as Agent Ethan Hunt in next two ‘Mission Impossible’ films due in 2021 and 2022.
Following the huge successful ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ in 2018, Paramount Pictures has green-lit two additions to the franchise.
Cruise took to Twitter to announce the news by posting a short video of the Mission: Impossible logo on fire and writing simply, “Summer 2021 and Summer 2022”.
The 56-year-old actor has been playing the character of Agent Ethan Hunt from the last 23 years. The next two films, the seventh and eighth in the franchise, are expected to be shot back-to-back.
Director Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed 2018’s ‘Mission Impossible: Fallout’ and 2015’s ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ will be back in the director’s chair for these films.
