LAHORE MIRROR — A post-mortem examination of five-year-old Ayat Noor, whose body was recovered from a well in Haripur, has confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.
According to the post-mortem report, the child died during the assault. She was thrown into the well after she had already died, with the report attributing her death to severe blood loss and shock.
An eight-member medical board, headed by Medical Superintendent Dr Munawar, conducted the post-mortem examination.
Ayat Noor’s body was recovered from a well at a warehouse on University Road, 15 days after she went missing. Police said the child had left her home to play before disappearing.
Police alleged that the suspects sexually assaulted and killed the child before dumping her body in the well.
Two suspects in the Ayat Noor case are currently in jail, while another remains in police custody.
