Lahore Arts Council Kicks Off Alhamra National Exhibition Preparations
LAHORE– Lahore Arts Council has kicked off preparations for the Second “Alhamra National Exhibition”. Artists over the age of 25 will be able to participate in this exhibition.
The exhibition will consist of painting, sculpture, installation and video art. Artists from across the country will be able to submit their artwork by November 10 to attend the second Alhamra National Exhibition.
Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Athar Ali Khan in a statement said Lahore Arts Council always intends to share about art and culture from all over Pakistan to promote our cultural heritage, and purpose of this national exhibition is to promote art and the artist. Through this exhibition people can see the work of masters at one place, he added.
Director of Arts and Culture Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said that the exhibition aims to bring together the work of renowned artists from across the country, this exhibition will provide the opportunity for new artists to benefit from the technique of Masters.
Voice of Alhamra
To showcase the talent of singing in the field of music, Lahore Arts Council has organized a standard music competition, titled “Voice of Alhamra”. Youth between the ages of 15 to 25 will be able to participate in the competition.
Due to increase demand for participation the audition date for “Voice of Alhamra” has been changed from Oct 14, to Oct 21st, while the semi-final will be on October 22nd and the final of the competition will be held on October 23rd. Winners of the competition will be given cash prizes and shields.
Executive Director Lahore Arts Council, Ather Ali Khan said that for the encouragement of the young singers, Alhamra is going to organize “Voice of Alhamra”, on which the singers will not only be able to win the cash prizes but will also find immense opportunities for their future in the field of music.— PRESS RELEASE
