LAHORE MIRROR — South Cantt police have arrested the prime suspect, Muhammad Rizwan, from Rawalpindi along with a weapon in connection with an assault on security guards and workers at a petrol pump on Airport Road.
According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the suspect allegedly assaulted a security guard and other workers at the petrol pump along with an accomplice.
The suspects also allegedly brandished a weapon and threatened the security guards and workers with death during the incident.
A case was registered at South Cantt police station following the incident.
The spokesperson said police traced and arrested Rizwan with the help of modern technology and evidence collected during the investigation.
Raids are being conducted to arrest the second suspect, who is expected to be apprehended soon.
The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Investigation Wing, where further questioning is under way.
DIG Operations said indiscriminate action would continue against elements posing a threat to the lives and property of citizens.
