LAHORE MIRROR — Power consumers across Pakistan will face higher electricity bills after the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) approved monthly and quarterly power tariff adjustments.
Under the monthly adjustment, power prices have been increased by Rs2.06 per unit, with the additional charge to be reflected in consumers’ September 2026 bills.
According to Nepra, the July fuel price adjustment will impose an additional burden of around Rs33 billion on electricity consumers.
The regulator has also approved a 52-paisa-per-unit increase under the quarterly adjustment for the April-June 2026 period. Nepra has forwarded its decision to the federal government, with the adjustment set to apply from September to November 2026.
The quarterly adjustment will also be applicable to consumers of K-Electric.
Nepra said the quarterly adjustment would place an additional burden of approximately Rs12.67 billion on consumers.
The regulator has also issued the formal notifications covering both adjustments.
