LAHORE (Staff Report)- The first meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) for the National Health Support Program (NHSP) was held under the chairmanship of Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, Chairman of the Planning & Development Board, Punjab.
According to a press release issued by Karamat Ali, Communication Specialist at NHSP, a meeting of the Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department was held at the Committee Room-I of the Planning & Development (P&D) Board on Tuesday.
On this occasion, Dr Khalil & Dr Fawad Ahmed gave a detailed briefing to Chairman P&D on the program covering overall progress, including the status of Program-for-Results (PforR) Disbursement-Linked Indicators (DLIs) and Disbursement-Linked Results (DLRs). They also discussed the progress on the current year’s DLIs/DLRs, the business plans for achieving these targets, the additional funding requirements, and the decision to revise the Technical Assistance (TA) Component/PC-I.
After detailed discussions, Chairman P&D Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan directed the prompt completion of the recruitment process of dedicated PMU staff, the timely completion of activities, and the continuation of the execution of business plans. He also emphasized the importance of implementing the exit strategy for each activity planned under the PforR component.
The Secretary P&D Board, Dr Asif Tufail, Member (Health & Nutrition), Shafaat Ali, Special Secretary P&SHD, Barak Ullah, Project Director IRMNCH/Add. DPD NHSP, Dr Khalil, Senior Chief, Uzma Hafeez, Manager Nutrition-IRMNCH, Dr Fawad Ahmed, MEAL Consultant Asif Rasheed, OBB Consultant Umaid Faisal, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
