LAHORE MIRROR — Senior academician and the Chairperson of the Film and Broadcasting Department at the University of the Punjab, Dr Lubna Zaheer called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif at the latter’s office and took up academic matters.
During the discussion, important academic issues, along with other significant matters, were deliberated upon. Dr Lubna Zaheer appreciated the various schemes being launched in Punjab.
CM Maryam Nawaz, on the occasion, said that the government would soon distribute the latest laptops to students. She also revealed plans to launch a loan scheme for students, offering loans of up to Rs10 million, enabling them to start their own businesses and achieve financial independence.
It is important to mention that the Punjab government has recently launched the largest-ever scheme in the history of Pakistan, named the “Honhaar Programme”, with a budget of Rs130 billion.
