Sindh Govt to Increase IT Training Programme from 10,000 to 100,000 Youths: Nasir Shah
Energy Minister Nasir Shah's visit and address at 25th ITCN Asia held at Expo Centre
KARACHI (SOUTH DESK) — Provincial Minister for Energy, Development and Planning Sindh Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that the government has started an IT training program for 10,000 youth, the scope of which will be increased to 100,000.
After the training, the youth will not only benefit from the latest technology related to IT, but will also provide them with first employment opportunities.
He expressed these views while visiting various stalls and interacting with the media at the 25th ITCN Asia 2024 International IT & Telecom Show, Exhibition and Conference held at Expo Center Karachi today. Paying tribute to the organizers of the exhibition, Minister Energy said that at a time when people are spreading false rumours, journalists and they want to push the youth into the cave of hopelessness and despair. I will not say that this exhibition is a ray of hope for the youth, but it is the sun of hope.
He said that he is happy to hear that more than 25 thousand youth and businessmen have visited this exhibition and by the end of this exhibition, it is hoped that many of youth and businessmen will have visited the exhibition. Minister said that famous domestic and foreign institutions are participating in this exhibition, among which Iran is worth mentioning, Saudi Arabia, China Other important countries including Turkey and Australia are also involved.
Apart from this, well-known organizations such as international brand Huawei, Google Cloud, Odo, TP-Link are also participating in this exhibition, while the national famous organization NRTC etc. are also participating in this exhibition. Nasir Shah said that there is no lack of talent among our youth, that is the reason why the future of Pakistan is bright. This event has the full support and endorsement of the Government of Sindh.
Under the direction of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, the Sindh government’s IT department has done a great job and modern IT training to the youth is a part of it. Minister has said that the world has become a global village.
At present, the problem of net in the country, countries all over the world are suffering from this problem, however, the problems that will occur in Pakistan will be removed. Negative propaganda is being done in Pakistan regarding networking. On the occasion of visiting the stalls of Iran and NRTC, he appreciated the efforts of both and thanked them for their participation.
A large number of youth also took selfies expressing their happiness on the arrival of the Energy Minister. Nasir Shah was very impressed with the skills and briefing of the youth present at the stalls and congratulated them and assured them of all possible support from him and the Sindh government.
