LAHORE MIRROR – In a surprising turn of events, Parvez Elahi, the former Chief Minister of Punjab and the President of PTI’s Punjab Chapter, has been arrested once again immediately after his release from police custody, following an order from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Elahi had recently been taken into custody by law enforcement agencies in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The Federal Police has confirmed that Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi was detained in connection with another case FIR 23/3, which was connected to a terrorism-related offense and had been filed at the Tibi City Police Station.
However, after securing his release, he faced yet another setback as the IHC issued orders for his re-arrest, citing the need for further inquiries into the matter.
The specific details of the case and the reasons behind the IHC’s decision to re-arrest Parvez Elahi remain undisclosed at this time.
Legal experts and political analysts are closely monitoring the situation and speculating on the potential implications for both the former CM and the political landscape of Punjab.
This development comes at a time when Punjab is already grappling with political uncertainty, with key elections and power struggles on the horizon.
Parvez Elahi’s arrest and subsequent legal proceedings are expected to have a significant impact on the political dynamics in the province.
PTI officials have expressed their concern over the arrest, calling it a politically motivated move aimed at undermining their party’s influence in Punjab.
