LAHORE MIRROR — A horrifying incident of an alleged rape has shaken the village of Moza Galore Massu Khan’s Basti Din Muhammad in Rahim Yar Khan district, Punjab.
According to reports, the victim, an 80-year-old woman, was subjected to the heinous crime on Saturday. The police have registered a case under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code based on the complaint filed by the victim’s son.
As per the complaint given to the police, the woman’s family had left her at home with her son on July 29 while they went to attend a Muharram procession. During this time, the elderly woman went to a nearby house to wash clothes. It was during this moment of vulnerability that she was allegedly attacked.
The victim’s son narrated the heart-wrenching account to the police, stating that he heard his mother’s cries while he was at home. Fearing something was wrong, he rushed to the location where his mother had gone and was devastated to find her being assaulted in a fodder crop. The suspect, upon realizing he was being observed, managed to escape from the scene before he could be apprehended.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving residents horrified and demanding justice for the elderly victim. The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter, aiming to bring the perpetrator to justice and ensure the safety of the local population.
