Punjab CTD Captures Nine Alleged Terrorists during IBOs

LAHORE MIRROR — The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested 9 alleged terrorists of banned outfits. According to the spokesman, the CTD Punjab conducted 26 intelligence-based operations in different districts of the province to effectively deal with any untoward incident of terrorism.

As many 26 suspected persons were interrogated and 9 alleged terrorists were arrested with weapons, explosives and other prohibited materials.

He said among the arrested terrorists include Usman Ghani a member of Daes, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan members Kashif Ilyas Khan, Jawad Saeed, Muhammad Jalib, Muhammad Saqib Ilyas Khan, Sabz Ali, Dawood Shah and Ahmed Jan.

The spokesperson said that one suicide jacket, explosives 3640 grams, 8 detonators, 3 hand grenades, safety fuse wire 11 feet, prima cord 6 feet, ball bearings 3 packets, one SMG with 18 bullets, 1 pistol 30 bore with 6 bullets, 1 pistol 9mm with 6 Bullets, 1 remote control receiver, 2 batteries, one battery charger’ 2 books of banned organization, 6 receipt books of banned organization, 63 pamphlets of banned organization, one flag of banned organization, 2 magazines of banned organization, 57 stickers, 3 mobile phones and Rs 36800 in cash have been recovered from them.

The terrorists had planned to sabotage across the province and wanted to target important installations and other religious places,he said. Furthermore, during this week, a total of 564 Combing operations were conducted with the help of Local Police and law and enforcement agencies, he said and added that during these Combing Operations 26192 persons were checked, 93 suspects were arrested ,61 FIRs were registered and 56 recoveries were made.
