LAHORE MIRROR — Commissioner Lahore Ch Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Thursday chaired a meeting regarding the Anti-drug strategy.
Officers of ANF, Disrict Administrations Lahore, Higher education dept, School Education Dept, Health dept, representatives of Anti Drug activists and police participated in meeting.
He said that efforts be made to stop the curse of drug addiction and strategy be devised to aware and alert the society.
He said that nutrition officers of health department must be given tasks at all education institute. He said that all students in all education institutes, Private or Public were their own children.
He directed the officers of excise and police that they must increase their checking outside the educational institutes and nearby areas. He instructed to officers of Punjab Food Authority to hold screening regularly of all Canteens of institutes and its workers.
He also directed PITB to make a joint software to club all online record and registration of drug addicts by different department to keep tracking and proper rehabilitation of drug addicts.He said to ANF to present the data of hotspots regarding drug use.
He was briefed that departments were also working hard to break the supply chain of drugs.Commissioner Lahore said that morning assemblies were of much importtant to aware the students not only about drugs but also different diseases.
He directed to make health counters in institutes in all districts to creat an awareness deterance against the menace.
