University of Health Sciences, Rotary International Ink MoU
LAHORE– A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the University of Health Sciences(UHS) and Rotary International to forge cooperation.
The agreement was signed by UHS VC Prof. Javed Akram and District Governor Rotary Saifullah Ejaz. The club’s executive secretary Raza Khursand, president Gulberg Dr Fauzia Tabassum and other members were also present on the occasion. Professor Javed Akram gave a lecture on Coronavirus and its vaccines.
In his address, Prof Javed Akram said that he wanted Rotary to take over the management of the specialist clinics being set up under the auspices of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine where the poor will get free specialist care.
UHS VC informed the Rotary Club members that the UHS would start training courses in these clinics. He urged Rotary members to mentor medical students in light of their broader experiences.
Rotary District Governor Saifullah Ejaz said that his club would provide all-out support in the management of these specialist clinics. He added that mobile health units and water filtration plants would be donated to the university by the club.— PRESS RELEASE
