Faisalabad: Two ‘Mosque-goers’ Clubbed to Death; Police Arrest Principle Accused

FAISALABAD– Two people, who were offering Fajar prayer, were clubbed to death inside a mosque of particular religious sect in a village that falls under the ambit of Roadala Road police station today morning, police said. 

Police responded to an emergency call and found the bodies of two people soaked in blood.

According to City Police Officer DIG Muhammad Sohail Ch, the suspects used ‘iron rods’ to attack the victims who were inside the mosque in village 376 GB.

The members of the aggrieved sect have accused two members of the opposite sect for brutal killings.

Police managed to arrest principle accused Allah Yar, while second suspect Molvi Aziz is on the run. Both the suspects offer prayer at the mosque near-by.

Allah Yar has confessed to killing two members of rival sect. The names of the deceased were not immediately known.

Police shifted the bodies for autopsies and initiated legal proceedings.
