Karachi’s 106 Roads Including Shahr-e-Faisal to be Renovated on Modern Style

KARACHI– Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed has said that steps are being taken to beautify the main roads of Karachi including Shahra-e-Faisal and to beautify them in a modern style.
“We are getting help and cooperation from multinational companies and other institutions for the maintenance and renovation of large parks.”
In order to make the city better and modern, “We have to use modern methods and techniques instead of traditional methods.”
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting on beautification of Karachi in which Director General Works Shabiha Al Hasnain Zaidi, Senior Director Coordination Khalid Khan, Sohail A Khan, and other officers participated.
He said that the beautification of Shara Faisal will be done in a modern style. Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed said that each area has its own history and civilization.
The services of different areas of Karachi to which important personalities are attributed will be highlighted so that the new generation can know about his deeds and services. A clear example is the People’s Republic of China where the concept of smart cities has been introduced.
Administrator Karachi said that the history of Karachi is incomplete without mentioning political leaders, famous sportsmen, writers, intellectuals, and artists. During the meeting, Sohail A Khan gave a presentation on the beautification of various intersections and highways in Karachi.
Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed directed that the municipality should be planned to keep in view the beautification of the city.
He said that 106 roads under the administration of Greater Karachi should be renovated in a modern style and in this regard, the methods prevalent in other countries of the world should be used.
He said that the city could be transformed by developing basic infrastructure. Beautification of 11 underpasses managed by KMC work should also be started drainage system, wall renovation works should be improved and innovated, he said,
Laiq added that large public parks in Karachi attract a large number of citizens and these parks are a great source of entertainment as citizens mostly use the products of multinational companies and other entities from which they make huge profits so we want these companies to fulfill their responsibilities to serve the city.
Support the Karachi Metropolitan Municipality in the maintenance and renovation work of these parks. We are working with all stakeholders in the improvement and development of the city and for this purpose, we are cooperating with welfare and social organizations and civil society.
Achieved, he directed the officers to carry out beautification of roads on a priority basis and if there are any obstacles in this regard, they will be removed soon.
