GB Police Workshop On Human Rights, Gender Issues and Police Capacity Building

GILGIT– Gilgit Baltistan police arranged a workshop on human rights, gender issues and police capacity building on Friday.

Presided over by Inspector General of Police GB Dr Mujeebur Rehman Khan, the workshop was attended by AIG Training Dr Shakir Ahmad Shahid, DIG Awais Ahmad and others.

The participants highlighted the aspects as to how human rights could be protected and how police should be trained in this regard.

The capacity building of police in investigation, forensics etc to protect human rights especially children, women, and juvenile were the key points discussed in the moot.

The idea of establishing forensic laboratory and  Darul Amaan, honor killing, accused and victim protection were also discussed.
