LAHORE– The Rawalpindi region police have brought certain violations down regarding the coronavirus-led SOPs during Taraveeh prayers.
A report compiled by the Central Police Office Punjab on April 27 reveals that as many 109 violations of presence of people aged over 50 and children during Taraveeh took place in Faisalabad region followed by 86 in Gujranwala, 54 in Multan, 50 in Lahore, 41 in Rawalpindi, 22 in Bahawalpure, 16 in Sheikhpura, 13 each in Sargodha and Dera Ghazi Khan and 12 in Sahiwal.
In the category of non-observation of six-feet distance, Faisalabad region reported 88 violations, Gujranwala 53, Multan 45, Rawalpindi 32, Bahawalpure 22, Lahore and Sahiwal 17, Sheikhupura 16, D G Khan 13 and Sargodha 7.
Faisalabad police topped the chart in the category of ablution in masajid/imam bargahs as it reported 99 violations followed by Gujranwala 62, Multan 40, Rawalpindi 23, Lahore 19, Sheikhupura 14, Sahiwal 12, D G Khan 11 and Sargodha and Bahawalpure 10 each.
In face mask violation category, Faisalabad region police reported 111 violations, Gujranwala 80, Multan 56, Rawalpindi 38, Bahawalpure 28, Lahore 20, Sheihupura 17, Sahiwal 16, Sargodha and D G Khan 13 each.
In handshake by namazis, as many 90 violations were reported in Faisalabad police region, 13 each in Sahiwal and Multan regions, nine in Rawalpindi, eight in Gujranwala, six in Sheikhupura and one in Lahore.
