DIG Ops, DC Lahore Visit Ehsaas Centres To Ensure Disbursement In Secured Environment Atmosphere

LAHORE– Lahore police have made elaborated security strategy for a peaceful and disciplined distribution of financial assistance under the Ehsaas Programme as more than 1,000 police officers and officials have been deputed at all the 31 Ehsaas Programme Disbursement Centres of the city.

According to details, as many as 06 SPs, 18 DSPs, 31 SHOs, 31 Upper subordinates, 124 lady Constables, 43 reserves of Anti Riot Force were deputed at these Cash Distributions Centers.

Lahore police have adopted all Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) set to prevent the spread of Coronavirus during the distribution of cash handouts.

DIG Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed Saturday visited different Ehsaas Disbursement Centers including Naseer Abad, Kahna, Wahdat Colony, Ali Raza Abad Raiwind Road, Chung, Shahdara, Samanabad to review the security arrangements.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Danish Afzaal, SPs, DSPs, members of the District Administration and related Police officers accompanied him. Strict security arrangements by Lahore Police were witnessed on all the Cash Distribution Centers and the process of financial assistance remained smooth and peaceful throughout.

The police officers and officials ensured to implement on Queue (Kitaar) Management System and other necessary precautions among the citizens who had arrived at Distribution Centers for cash handouts.

Police personnel adopted all precautionary measures in wake of dangers of coronavirus including use of safety kits, face masks, gloves and sanitizers during security duty at these Disbursement Centers.

DIG Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed personally witnessed the procedure of cash distribution during his visit and directed the deputed Police staff to remain alert and vigilant, deal with people in polite manner making them aware of the dangers of gatherings in wake of coronavirus situation.

SSP Operations Lahore Muhammad Naveed also visited different Ehsaas Cash Distribution Centres including Chung and Nawankot. All the SPs of Operation wings also visited these centers in their respective divisions and supervised the security arrangements in their presence.

Teams of Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit and Elite Force continued effective patrolling around these distribution centers.

Earlier DIG Operations Rai Babar Saeed presided over a video link meeting with all the divisional SPs and sectional heads of Lahore Police to finalize the security arrangements of Ehsaas Cash Distribution Program.
