The Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority has issued an NOC to Binance and HTX.
According to the statement of the Pakistan Crypto Council, the NOC was issued after joint consultations and formal evaluation procedures with the entities.
The statement said that Binance and HTX have been allowed to begin initial preparation and consultative activities in Pakistan, and this NOC is not a complete operating license.
In this regard, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the launch of the NOC framework is proof of the commitment to financial discipline and responsible innovation. The authority has introduced an evaluation system, a recruitment portal, and an AI-assisted tool, which has improved monitoring capabilities.
He said that PVARA will continue consultations with local and international stakeholders to advance the next phases of the regulatory framework.
