LAHORE MIRROR — Two-time international boxing champion Zolani Tete was shot dead outside his home in South Africa, police said.
Tete was attacked on Friday, with police confirming that he was shot outside his residence. Four people have been arrested in connection with the killing.
A woman was also injured in the shooting and was taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
Tete, 38, enjoyed a distinguished professional career. He held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior bantamweight title from 2014 to 2015 before winning the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) bantamweight title, which he held from 2017 to 2019.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the motive for the killing remain under investigation.
