Iranian state media reported that the four countries agreed to continue discussions on regional peace and security.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said the talks would focus on pressing regional challenges, including Israel’s policies, developments in Palestine and Lebanon, and the consequences of US-Israeli attacks on Iran.
The meeting came amid escalating regional tensions and efforts by Makkah Defence Alliance members to promote de-escalation, dialogue and diplomatic solutions. Saudi officials said the initiative also supported mediation efforts by Pakistan and Qatar.
