Beijing- China’s third aircraft carrier ‘Fujian’ has successfully launched three types of fixed-wing aircraft using its advanced electromagnetic catapults, marking an important milestone.
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, citing the Chinese Navy, reported that J-15T, fifth-generation J-35 stealth jet, and carrier-based J-600 early warning and control aircraft have successfully completed catapult launch and landing tests from ‘Fujian’.

J-35 is the world’s second carrier-based stealth fighter, and this was the first time it was seen taking off from an aircraft carrier. Experts say these tests significantly enhance the Chinese Navy’s air operations capabilities.
According to the report, this means that ‘Fujian’ has acquired electromagnetic catapult and recovery capabilities, which is a major advancement in China’s aircraft carrier program.
