LAHORE MIRROR — In the matter of verbal altercation between Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Sarfraz Dogar and advocate Imaan Mazari, Imaan Mazari has submitted a complaint against Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar to the harassment committee.
Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz is the head of the inquiry committee on harassment of women at the Islamabad High Court. Sources say that Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz’s court associate has received the complaint against the Chief Justice.
In the complaint, it has been requested that an inquiry be conducted under the Protection Against Harassment of Women Act to determine whether the Chief Justice made sexual and threatening remarks about Imaan Mazari.
In the submitted complaint, Imaan Mazari has taken the stance that Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar should be declared guilty of harassing the complainant.
It has also been requested that the matter of harassment by Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar be referred to the competent authority — the Supreme Judicial Council.
It should be remembered that earlier, human rights activist and lawyer Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir had submitted a request to the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to preserve the CCTV footage of the “unfortunate incident” that occurred during her exchange with Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar.
Imaan Zainab Mazari had also shared this request on the social media platform ‘X’.
In her request, she wrote:
“I am writing this letter to request that the CCTV footage of Courtroom No. 1 of the honorable Chief Justice from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 11th September 2025 be preserved, because during that time an unfortunate incident occurred with me, as a result of which it is necessary to preserve the recording of the conversation.”
