LAHORE MIRROR – The Additional Director of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Zia Ullah Khan Toru, has been appointed as Director of the Urdu Science Board (USB). He assumed charge of his post here on Thursday.
According to the spokesperson of USB Zulfiqar Ali, Zia Ullah Khan Toru had served as Director of Investigation NAB, Director General of the Industries and Commerce Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director General of Anti-Corruption Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Director of the Ihtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Director of the National Counter Terrorism Authority.
In a meeting presided over by the Director, Deputy Director Ashfaq Khan briefed him on the objectives of the organization and its publications plan. At this occasion, Zia Ullah Khan said that under the guidance of the caretaker Federal Minister Jamal Shah, Secretary of the National Heritage & Culture Division, Ms Humaira Ahmad, and the Director General National Language Promotion Department, Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, every possible step would be taken to improve the institution’s position and solve the problems faced. He added that relations with the government and private institutions would be improved.
Khan directed all the staff to use their energies and capabilities for the betterment of the organization and to take steps to increase marketing efforts and sales of publications.
