WhatsApp To Introduce Fingerprint Secuirty, Block Chat Screenshots
LAHORE MIRROR (MONITORING Report)–Reportedly, the messaging service ‘WhatsApp’ is working on an update that will stop users from being able to take screenshots.
According to WaBetaInfo, the Facebook-owned messaging app is testing a new feature; the fingerprint which means that to access chats, the users will have to scan their fingerprint.
But as a result of this feature, the ability to take screenshots will also be blocked. The alert on the feature states ‘When enabled, fingerprint is required to open WhatsApp and conversation screenshots are blocked. You can still reply to messages from notifications and answer calls if WhatsApp is locked.’
This is only shown in the beta version of the Android app thus far according to WaBetaInfo.
