US Consul General Calls On Minister Yasmeen To Discuss Healthcare Facilities
LAHORE– US General Consul of Lahore Colleen Crenwelge called on provincial minister for health Dr Yasmeen Rashid at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department on Tuesday.
Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Momin Agha, Political & Economic Officer of American Consul General, Political & Economic Specialist Sadaf Saad and Mian Zahid were also present on this occasion.
Matters regarding the provision of better healthcare facilities to the patients by introducing modern reforms were discussed between Dr. Yasmeen Rashid and Colleen Crenwelge.
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid and Momin Agha inform the American General Consul about the various initiatives took for providing better healthcare facilities to the patients of Public hospitals in Punjab.
She said that state-of-the-art hospitals are being constructed in various districts of Punjab. She said that Punjab government is struggling to provide the best healthcare facilities for eradicating referral system in public sector hospitals.
She said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan Punjab government is determined to make government hospitals a better place of treatment for the patients.
During the last ten months, the Punjab health department made record recruitment of doctors on merit, the common man is getting the best healthcare facilities through Sehat Insaf Cards.
The Minister thanked the American government for its cooperation in various sectors. American consul general lauded the efforts of Dr. Yasmeen Rashid for providing facilities to the patients in public sector hospitals.
‘Oath-taking of Pakistan Dental Association’
Provincial Minister for Health Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has said that building of Fatima Jinnah and Medical College in Jublee Town will soon be completed. Former corrupt government intentionally delayed the construction of dental college in Jubilee Town, she added.
This was stated by her while addressing an oath-taking ceremony of Pakistan Dental Association, as a chief guest, here today.
President Pakistan Medical Association Dr. Ashraf Nizami, Prof. Dr. Arif Tajamul and other senior and junior doctors were also present on this occasion.
She said that former corrupt ruler looted the national exchequer but the present government is determined to spend people’s tax money only on the people.
She said that Shehbaz Sharif just to see his name on the plaque, just build the structures of different development projects instead of completing them. She said that the present government is clearing the debt of the former government.
She said that there is a dire need to introduce modern reforms in the dental field. Dr. Yasmeen Rashid also congratulated new elected office bearers.— PRESS HANDOUT
