SNGPL Peshawar Region Swings Into Action Against Pilferers, Illegal Gas Users

PESHAWAR– The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Peshawar region, in its continued extensive task force activities in Peshawar city and its suburbs, has carried out raids against pilferers and illegal use of gas in the month of December.

During the said operation in Peshawar city, Kohat, Bannu, Lakki, Dera Ismael Khan and Charsadda, teams plugged 818 direct/underground connections, underground taps detected/removed 48, replaced 395 suspected/reverse domestic meters, and disconnected 19 domestic to commercial use cases.

Teams also carried out five major raids, disconnected 19 on compressor use, removed one illegal shifted connection shifted, and removed three Illegal lines (gas was being fed to approximate 90 houses).

As many 32 FIRs have been lodged against violators.— PRESS RELEASE
