Sindh Excise Dept Foils Attempt To Smuggle Charas From Baluchistan To Karachi

KARACHI–Sindh Excise Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle charas from Balochistan to Karachi. According to details, Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer Zia-ul-Islam Pathan along with his team recovered 10 kg charas during a search of a suspicious Mehran car at Jackabad Excise check post. Charas was recovered from Mehran car bearing number BCC-325.

An accused Fazlur Rehman resident of Mastung was arrested and a case has been registered and investigation is underway. The vehicle used in the incident has also been seized. On the successful operation, Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla congratulated the officers and directed them to continue the crackdown on drug dealers, asking them under no circumstances should drug dealers be allowed to enter into Sindh.
