Sindh Cabinet unanimously rejects Presidential Ordinance of Island Development Authority of Pakistan

KARACHI– Sindh Minister for Information and Forests Syed Nasir Hussain Shah along with Environment Advisor Murtaza Wahab and Secretary Information Imran Ata Soomro has said that Sindh Cabinet has rejected illegal and unconstitutional ordinance of the Island Development Authority of Pakistan. These islands belong to the Sindh government and the people and will remain so, only the people and poor fishermen have the right to them. No opinion or consultation has been made with the Sindh government regarding the ordinance, such illegal and unconstitutional ordinance.

How can it be accepted without the consent and consent of the Sindh government, our people, the local population and the fishermen? The Cabinet has decided to refuse to comply with such an unconstitutional ordinance. The federal government should immediately withdraw and repeal the ordinance. There should be no development that does not benefit the people. The local population and fishermen will not let be harmed in any way. The land of Sindh will not be allowed to be occupied. Local fishermen have a right to the islands of Sindh. The Presidential Ordinance is against provincial sovereignty and public interest. Sindh Local Government Minister Coordinator Tariq Khattak, Sardar Nazakat and Director Press Information Sindh Zulfiqar Shah were also present on the occasion.
