Rawalpindi CPO Directs to Set Up Special Desks for Overseas Pakistanis

RAWALPINDI– City Police Officer Captain (retired) Muhammad Faisal Rana on Tuesday directed to establish special desks at police offices and police stations to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis.

“The issues would be resolved immediately of those who earn abroad and strengthen the economy of the country. We will not let anyone to grab the property and land of the overseas Pakistanis,” the CPO said during meeting with the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) member and a group of expatriates Pakistanis.

CPO DIG Faisal Rana speaking on the occasion said overseas Pakistanis are an important pillar of Pakistan’s economy who strengthen the state’s economy by earning abroad. “Overseas Pakistanis are the backbone and the benefactors of the country’s economy, we have to resolve their issues on priority basis under the law,” the CPO added.

The CPO said directions had been issued to establish special desks in police offices and police stations to resolve the issues of the overseas Pakistanis where police officer will bring the issue into the notice of the concerned SP and the SPs will personally resolve the issues of the overseas Pakistanis.

The CPO said the overseas Pakistani can directly meet him or other officers and they will be given the protocol which they deserve.

The representatives of the overseas Pakistani told the CPO that their properties in Pakistan are at risk at the hands of the land grabbers on which the CPO said Rawalpindi police are already conducting operation against the land grabbers

“We have resolved to eliminate illegal arms from Rawalpindi as besides other illegal acts, illegal arms are used for land grabbing.”

The CPO told the participants that directions for legal action have been issued to regain the possession of the properties of the overseas Pakistanis that have been grabbed.

He said he assured the overseas Pakistanis to resolve their issues on priority basis.

The representatives of the overseas Pakistanis thanked CPO Rana and said they were satisfied with the measures taken by the CPO to protect their properties in Pakistan and hoped their issues will be resolved on priority.— PRESS RELEASE
