Ramadan: District Administration Lahore Engages 29 Companies For Discounted Items

Companies including multinational companies provides list of special discounts to DC Saleha Saeed during a meeting

LAHORE– The District Administration has got 29 national and multinational companies on board in establishing stalls to sell their items on meager and controlled rates as compared to open market to provide relief to the masses in the holy month of Ramadan.
This facility is in addition to the provision of subsidized 19 items on Green Channel Stalls being set up in 30 Ramdan Bazaars of the provincial capital. 
Deputy Commissioner Lahore Ms Saleha Saeed chaired a meeting with regard to the establishment of stalls of national and multinational companies on Monday at Nadir Hall. The representatives of national and multinational companies, the Assistant Commissioner HQ and DO Food (MCL) attended the meeting.
Saleha Saeed reiterated her yearn to provide maximum relief to citizens in shape of ramzan bazaars where they could purchase fruit, vegetable and other items on controlled and subsidized rates without the fear of overcharging.
Ensuring representatives of companies, DC Lahore said that District Administration would protect and properly look after their items at night time and she also asked them to bring their best quality items on stalls and make it sure they could not be expired ones.
She also directed the Assistant Commissioners and Managers of Ramdan Bazaars to remain in touch with stall staffs and to coordinate with them all in proper manner.
The companies will sale their items on discounted rates which are as following: Sufi Beverage 15%, Lifestyle International 15%, Aftab Qarshi 20%, Qarshi Industries 10%, Gourmet Foods 10%, Mazan Beverage 10%, Vital Group 8%, Shezan International 10%, White Industries 20%, Uppal Pharma 15%, Kisan oil 10%, Versatile Herbal Pharma 15%, Hamdard Pakistan 10%, Sweba Unani Industry 20%, Marhaba Laboratories 15%, Habib Oil 5%, RC Cola 10%, Kashmir Banaspathi 12%, Dewan Foods 10%, Six-B Foods Industries 20%, Mustaq Herbal Pharma 15%, Smart Foods 15%, Al Hilal Industries 10%, Orange Foods 15%, Mitchells Food 10%, Nestle Pakistan Ltd 10% and Sufi Frozen Food 20%.
Similarly, the DC has also directed all assistant commissioners to visit Ramadan bazaars’ sites and take all possible steps to functional 30 bazaars within stipulated time.— PRESS RELEASE
